“Temple of peace and tranquillity” that’s what Jing’an Temple means, and even if with wierd compromises (whenever you will walk through those courtyards, you’ll wonder if it’s old or not), Chinese people made their point. No matter how crowded is the street or the busy metro station just outside the main gate, no matter how many shops they builded inside and around it or how big are the skyscrapers shadows over it, you still have the chanche to isolate yourself inside those walls and have piece of mind.
