They opened the gates and the beasts were set free. This happened last january in Milan when Burberry showed the new menswear fall season. A wild safari, with leopard and zebra skin all over bags and shoes, but always in an elegant way, without outrageous excess, in the way that only british can do. I know it’s not already winter, but since Milan is so rainy I decided to give you my version.
“Blue jeans, white (tee)shirt” would Lana del Rey sing. This might be one of the-best-with-less outfit for the upcoming summer. Nothing is more comfy than a white teeshirt matched with tan (that I still dont have) and your favourite pair of loafer.
“Blue jeans, white (tee)shirt” avrebbe cantato Lana del Rey. Questo potrebbe essere Continue reading
Barbara Palvin as Bambi
I’m not that kinda of person that usually recognize people at first sight, but I guess in our minds there is some kind of connection between what we already know and what we see around us. Some days ago I was thinking about this, when I realized that some of the most succesful people in the fashion system, they take our attention at first sight because we connect them so easily to something that our mind already knows. These following pictures are the result of who I think about when I look at some of my favourite models. What do you think? Does this happen to you too?
Not maybe one of the most original but the camo-effect has always a strong impact. As often happens, art and fashion take elements from real life in order to make big statements and turn into something glamour and unexpected something that is not. Thats what Andy Warhol did with a selfportrait and this is what some time ago Valentino did with a special camo event in its boutique here in Milan: take something so wild such as camouflage and try to turn it into something sophisticated and romantic. So yesterday I decided to use an old vintage shirt that I found last year in a very cool military shop here in Milan, and I combined it in a more streetstyle way. Also, how cute is the small military-mouse broach that I got in Shanghai ?
Yesterday was one of the longest walk day ever! Been around up&down in an almost empty and sunny Milan. Today the weather turns worst but nothing can put shadows over my happiness, cause some of my best friends they are coming back to Milan and I can’t wait for the big dinner reunion tonight!
Also a big welcome for a new pair of turtle sunglasses!
Finally in Milan, after almost a month around I’m so glad to be back and the weather is not that bad as I thought it would be. So happy also to find my closet safe and sound as I left it (my housemates they are the most expert clothes-thieves that I have ever experienced) and above all happy that I dont have to deal with only a suitcase of clothes for a while (which is kinda exploded in my room with all my travel clothes spread everywhere in my room, waiting patiently to be back in the closet). So yesterday I grabbed this outfit, with my new favourite black skinny jeans, before hang out for an icecream-chat-after-long-time-away with some friends
Good morning all! Today I’ve kinda been repeating to myself: DONT GO-STAY HERE-THREE WORDS-SUN-BEACH-FOOD, but today I have to catch my flight back to Milan. Before leaving for the city, I wanted to tell you that I would be so glad if you would start follow me and my blog through the social networks, so you will be updated about 10Third whenever, whatever, wherever, even if that actually sounds like an anthem 🙂
If you have any questions I’m here 🙂
Hope to be back here soon, summer is so great in here !
Buongiorno a tutti! Oggi ho più o meno in continuazione ripetuto a me stesso: NON ANDARE-STAI QUI-TRE PAROLE-SOLE-SPIAGGIA-CIBO, Continue reading
Sicilian traditions meets tourism business in the place that I love the most on this island, Taormina. Like an old lady, who have never changed her aspect, layed in a beautiful garden, this small and gorgeous town is layed on a hill, between citrus trees and old olive trees looking at the blue Ionian sea. The same blue, the same lemons that are so beautifuly painted all over the typical chinas. Everytime I come here I always feel like nothing ever changed from the past, and that’s why this place is still so attractive: even if the 90% of sicilian tourists come here, Taormina has always tried to protect its roots and its autenticity, without compromises.
Some of you may know that I come from a town in Sicily, between the sea and the Etna vulcano, which is a very cool thing, because the view (you have seen the sea one) is so gorgeous both sides. Excepts those days, like yesterday, when the sweet vulcano decides to erupt, which happened really often in the past month, and throw black sands all around, it is a really cool place to explore, especially in summer. These bunch of pics were taken few summers ago with my friends Chiara and Riccardo. Feeling like an italian version of Dora the Explorer, we roamed through this almost moon landscape and old craters (that was we hoped!).
Happy sunday everyone!
In these days the weather has been so good to me, so yesterday I spent some time in another place that always takes my breath away. Even if it is quite famous in the neighborhood and over, I know some people, especially the lovebirds, would hate me for showing this place, it is always super quite. That’s why it is one of those spots of my town where you can take a breath from your life and just stare at this beautiful sea.
Hope you like the pictures 🙂
